Nagat is an incoming practice-oriented artificial intelligence PhD student at the University of Bristol. She holds an MSc in computer science from the University of Bristol and a BSc in economic history from the London School of Economics.聽

Through her master鈥檚, Nagat gained hands-on experience with various programming languages (C, Java, JavaScript, Python) to translate complex algorithms into functional systems. Her thesis on assessing large language model (LLM) code generation proposed a new proxy for correctness, significantly improving the accuracy of LLM output.

Her interest in solving technical problems through an interdisciplinary lens has led her to the goal of ensuring AI safety in high-stakes domains, particularly in health research. She is pursuing a health data science internship hosted at the University of Bristol ahead of her PhD to further her skills in conducting research at the intersection of technology and real-world domains.
